JOB TITLE:  Recruitment & Placement Officer

SALARY: Technical Grade 3 £16727 to £21954

LINE MANAGER: Employment Services Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Employment Services Manager with duties that relate to running the ILM contract effectively and efficiently


KEY TASKS/PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Liaise with Jobcentre Plus, Careers Wales and other agencies regarding recruitment of suitable clients for the ILM contract
  • Liaise with local employers regarding placement of ILM clients
  • Interview ILM clients regarding their training wishes and requirements
  • Interview ILM clients to discuss other issues with which they may needsupport, eg, developing personal/basic skills
  • Write Training Plans for ILM clients as a result of the interview, which should meet the requirements of WCVA
  • Organise and arrange training accordingly to suit client needs
  • Redesign forms relevant to the ILM project in light of continuous development


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deal with telephone enquiries, particularly those relating to ILM clients
  • Deal with any issues concerning or relating to clients in the absence of the Employment Services Manager
  • Assist with audit and monitoring preparation
  • Input data, particularly financial information relating to the ILM projects onto a database
  • Filing
  • Post duties
  • Send correspondence to clients, eg, start letters, dismissal letters, completion letters
  • Send correspondence to employers relating to clients
