MENTER MÔN TO DELIVER THE £4M CYFENTER PROGRAMME TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
Menter Môn have started on the exciting work of delivering the £4m Cyfenter Programme across the four counties of North West Wales. It will provide financial support for Social Enterprises so that they can achieve their potential as sustainable businesses within the economy of North West Wales.
The priority is to support organizations develop new products or services where there is a proven demand within the local communities. Menter Môn will be the delivery body and will perform an executive role on behalf of the Local Authorities of Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
There will be two funding programmes:
Cyfenter Grant Fund: Grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 will be available for the establishment of new Social Enterprises or existing Social Enterprises wishing to expand their services.
Cyfenter Competitive Fund: Grants of between £30,000 and £75,000 for Social Enterprises to meet market demands in the community service sector. Local Authorities will identify areas appropriate for transfer and go out to tender for applications.
Social Enterprises will be expected to provide between 10-30% of additional not EU investment funding, dependent upon individual circumstances.
