Recently Menter M\u00f4n had the privilege of welcoming Welsh Government Deputy Minister for Climate Change, Lee Waters MS during his visit to North Wales. It was a great opportunity to discuss the variety of work that is ongoing at Menter M\u00f4n and the potential that it has for North Wales and within some projects for the whole of Wales. <\/p>\n

He received a presentation on various projects within the company. From Morlais, to Tech Tyfu, to Llywddo\u2019n Lleol there is a vast variety, and it was great to see his appreciation of all projects. <\/p>\n

It was an opportunity for him to learn about Menter M\u00f4n\u2019s Agri-Tech portfolio and to see the new innovation hub that the team have at M-Sparc. Luke Tyler, Tech Tyfu\u2019s Manager talked about the benefits of the crops that were being vertically farmed in the hub. He mentioned different aspects of the Agri and food portfolio at Menter M\u00f4n and how work is ongoing to shorten the supply chain to benefit the local economy. <\/p>\n

Sara and Sion from the Swyddogion Stori, Llwyddo\u2019n Lleol 2050 project also gave an overview on their experiences and how Menter M\u00f4n has provided them with guidance on the ability to succeed locally. <\/p>\n

Sara Dylan, the winner of the Swyddogion Stori project said: \u2018Although I\u2019m studying at Cardiff University, Llwyddo\u2019n Lleol and Menter M\u00f4n has shown me that it is possible to succeed locally in North Wales and it has helped me to create contacts for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dafydd Gruffydd, Menter M\u00f4n\u2019s Managing Director said: \u201cThe Deputy Minister has always shown a great deal of interest in our work, especially our digital, renewable energy and agri-food projects. This was an opportunity for him to gain a better understanding of how our projects benefit the region and to meet the staff that are working so hard to deliver them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The range of projects that come under Menter M\u00f4n\u2019s portfolio make them unique and the innovation that is behind these projects mean that they\u2019re working to overcome challenges facing rural Wales. The way that these projects intertwine make them stronger and more flexible \u2013 this strengthening their ability to tackle challenges. <\/p>\n

Lee Waters MS said: \u201cI have been continuously impressed by the energy and ingenuity of Menter Mon and am amazed by the breadth of work they do. I wish every community in Wales had an equivalent. I\u2019ve been working with them for nearly three years on a breadth of projects and it was a real privilege to finally meet the team in person.
