This global event is the world’s largest gathering of industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers with a focus on hydrogen projects, innovation and technology.

Menter Môn, an Anglesey-based social enterprise, will attend alongside Trade and Invest Wales, the Welsh Government’s foreign direct investment initiative. As the owner of the Holyhead Hydrogen Hub, Menter Môn sees the event as an important opportunity to build new partnerships and explore potential investment to support the Hub’s growth.

Graham Morley, Project Manager for the Holyhead Hydrogen Hub, said: “This is a significant event for us, and we are delighted to attend alongside our colleagues from the Welsh Government. We’re excited to meet with industry leaders, share our progress, and highlight how we can help decarbonise key sectors.

“I’m looking forward to showcasing the Ynys Môn story to a global audience. The Holyhead Hydrogen Hub will be powered by renewable electricity from our sister project, Morlais Tidal Energy, and it can play a central role in decarbonising transport, industry, and Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) in North Wales.”

He added: “Although we’re still in the early stages of development, we’re keen to engage with businesses ready to transition to low-carbon solutions, whether it’s logistics, haulage, NRMM users, or public sector fleets. Our goal is to work with companies that are ready to embrace hydrogen and be part of shaping the future of clean energy. Attending the World Hydrogen Summit is a fantastic opportunity to begin those conversations and learn from others in the sector.”

Menter Môn is leading the development of the Holyhead Hydrogen Hub in partnership with Hynamics, a subsidiary of EDF, to create a sustainable, low-carbon energy solution. The Hub forms part of Menter Môn’s broader mission to drive local economic growth, create green jobs, and ensure the long-term benefits of clean energy for the community.

Pierre de Raphelis-Soissan, CEO of Hynamics said: “We are delighted to partner with Menter Môn to support the development of the Holyhead Hydrogen Hub. Our collaboration brings together Hynamics’ and EDF Group’s expertise in hydrogen solutions and Menter Mon’s unique capabilities in sustainable development. Together, we can create a low-carbon energy system that supports the transition to a net-zero economy.”

The Holyhead Hydrogen Hub has already secured planning consent for a 1MW electrolyser, with plans to scale up to 5MW or 10MW as demand increases. Pre-development work is well underway, and Menter Môn is engaging with potential partners to build a sustainable, low-carbon future for North Wales.

["post-3479","newyddion","type-newyddion","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
