We’d like to encourage new parents to start their Welsh language journey through its free app, OgiOgi.<\/p>\n
Whether you\u2019re expecting, a new parent, or caring for young children, OgiOgi is designed to make introducing Welsh to your little one natural and fun. It offers:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Information hub: Health, wellbeing and the Welsh language
\n\u2022 Fun hub: Welsh language entertainment including nursery rhymes, playlists and videos
\n\u2022 Groups in your area: Groups and activities for families<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of our biggest goals on Ynys M\u00f4n is to help families weave Welsh into everyday life,\u201d said Annest Rowlands, who works to promote the app and the benefits of using Welsh with young children on behalf of Menter M\u00f4n. \u201cOgiOgi introduces parents to the language in a fun way and supports and facilitates their journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Balchder Bro is funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund \u2013 a programme that empowers communities to realise ideas that create pride locally. These ideas can include events, art projects, community gardens or activities that promote the Welsh language and Ynys M\u00f4n’s identity, such as OgiOgi. The scheme offers financial and practical support for groups to realise their vision.<\/p>\n
