{"id":3733,"date":"2026-02-18T13:04:03","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T13:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mentermon.com\/?post_type=newyddion&#038;p=3733"},"modified":"2026-02-18T13:04:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T13:04:08","slug":"dathlu-dydd-gwyl-dewi-gyda-gorymdeithiau","status":"publish","type":"newyddion","link":"https:\/\/www.mentermon.com\/en\/newyddion\/dathlu-dydd-gwyl-dewi-gyda-gorymdeithiau\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Saint David&#8217;s Day with Parades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The streets of five towns across Anglesey will come alive again this year as thousands of island residents including pupils, school staff, families and more gather to celebrate St David&#8217;s Day.<br \/>\nWe are very proud to be coordinating the activities and look forward to a week of colorful parades that draw attention to the island&#8217;s pride in its language and culture.<br \/>\nThe marches will take place between 25 February and 3 March 2026 in the following locations:<br \/>\n\u2022 Amlwch \u2013 25\/2, 10am (starts from Salem Street car park)<br \/>\n\u2022 Llangefni \u2013 27\/2, 10am (starts from the Dingle car park)<br \/>\n\u2022 Bodedern \u2013 27\/2, 10am (starting from Bodedern High School)<br \/>\n\u2022 Holyhead \u2013 2\/3, 10am (starting from St Mary&#8217;s Church)<br \/>\n\u2022 Porthaethwy \u2013 3\/3, 10am (starts from Cae Waun car park)<\/p>\n<p>Pupils from schools across the island including primary and secondary schools will participate by carrying flags and creating colorful displays that reflect their pride towards Welsh culture and the Welsh language by celebrating St David&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the thousands who will be walking, various local bands and artists, including names such as Gethin Tomos, Y Moniars, Blocoswn, and the Band Taro Canolfan Addysg y Bont will perform for children afterwards.
