Farmers and growers across North Wales had the opportunity to learn more about a new machinery sharing scheme at this year’s Anglesey Agricultural Show.<\/p>\n
As farmers, growers and rural businesses gathered at Mona Showground for the county\u2019s main agricultural event, Menter M\u00f4n took the opportunity to introduce the North Wales Machinery Ring to the people it has been designed to support.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The scheme will give farmers and growers shared access to specialist horticultural machinery through an online booking system, making equipment more accessible across the region.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The initiative, which is managed by Menter M\u00f4n is a collaboration between the Ynys M\u00f4n, Gwynedd,\u00a0Conwy\u00a0and Denbighshire Food Partnerships. The aim is to tackle one of the key barriers facing horticultural producers across the region \u2013 the\u00a0high cost\u00a0of investing in specialist machinery.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n By creating a shared pool of equipment, the programme reduces the need for individual businesses to make significant capital investments. The hope is that it will give farmers and growers the opportunity to trial new production methods, improve efficiency and expand their operations while reducing financial risk.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking at the show, Dafydd Gruffydd, Managing Director <\/strong>at Menter M\u00f4n, said<\/strong>: “The North Wales Machinery Ring has been developed in direct response to the challenges that growers have told us they face.
