Welcome to Mis Cylchol
A month of events celebrating the circular economy
Cylchol aims to promote a circular economy across Ynys Môn and Gwynedd, through exciting community events and workshops. That not only includes those held at Ffiws makerspaces, but also the many other community projects in the region that promote a circular economy.

45% of global emissions come from everyday items
Our demand for new products has a big impact on the environment. By keeping materials in use longer we can help to cut emissions and save money, while supporting a circular economy. We want to develop a vibrant circular economy for Ynys Môn and Gwynedd by encouraging the repair and re-manufacture of everyday materials and household objects, by creating a culture of sustainability and resourcefulness within our communities.

Our mission
Our mission is to support the people of Ynys Môn and Gwynedd in understanding what circular economy is, provide opportunities for people and businesses to get involved, and to spread the word that together, we can make a big difference.
FFIWS
Ffiws are a network of makerspaces, open to everyone and anyone in Ynys Môn and Gwynedd. These community spaces are there to spark creativity and encourage people to make things using a variety of high-tech equipment.
Ffiws makerspaces are a great way to not only learn new skills, but to be part of the circular economy and help to reduce waste here in Cymru.

Repair Café Wales pop up events
Many of the Ffiws locations also support the Repair Café Wales project. These are regular events, held by volunteers who can help you repair and reuse their items for free. This can be anything from clothing, furniture, electricals and bikes, just to name a few.
Mis Cylchol
Join us in celebrating local action for a circular economy across Ynys Môn and Gwynedd
This September, we’re highlighting the everyday ways people and businesses across our communities are reducing waste, repairing what they have, and making the most of local resources. Mis Cylchol is about practical change, from fixing furniture to rethinking fashion, and showing how small actions can make a big difference.
What’s happening?
To mark national campaigns like Second Hand September, Recycle Week, and Sustainable Fashion Week, we’re launching Mis Cylchol- a month-long programme of local events and workshops that bring the circular economy to life in a hands-on, community-led way.
From upholstery courses and slow fashion events to beach cleans with local schools and even skateboard-making workshops, there’s something for everyone to get involved in.
How to get involved
Whether you’re a regular at Ffiws or just curious to try something new, Mis Cylchol is a great opportunity to learn practical skills, meet others, and support local action. All events are welcoming, accessible, and rooted in the strengths of our communities.
