“I have been part of the Menter Môn team for twelve years. Time has flown and it has been great to see how the support for businesses has grown and evolved over time. Hundreds of local businesses have benefited from our support through various projects, and we are determined that this continues.

“We are passionate about supporting people who take risks and are here to give you advice, support and inspiration through various projects. The message I would like to convey is, contact us and don’t worry about which project is right for you. Contacting Menter Môn is the first step. We will then refer and guide you.
We have been at the heart of economic development in North Wales over the past 30 years. During that time, we have worked with businesses of all types including small local enterprises to large fast growing companies. Our goal? Create opportunities, strengthen the supply chain, and help businesses succeed.

Support at the start of the journey and during
Through our project, Hwb Menter, located in M-SParc Gaerwen and Hwb Arloesi Porthmadog, we give entrepreneurs the information, guidance, inspiration and space to transform their idea into a successful business. The Hwb Menter also supports businesses that already exist. The support is local and focuses on face-to-face, close-to-you support. Among the services on offer are co-working offices, a community of like-minded individuals to share ideas and offer encouragement, business advice, a range of educational / social events, Fuse Creation Space, as well as the acclaimed Mutini business start-up programme.
Business Wales helps people, including young people, to start, run and grow their businesses nationally. They provide advice, guidance on funding, training, and support on everything from new ideas to established and growing companies. They also help businesses connect with the networks and resources they need to succeed. Business Wales is a Welsh Government program and we work together with partners such as Business in Focus and M-Sparc and others to implement it.
Food and Agriculture Businesses
The food and agriculture sector is important to the region’s economy, and Menter Môn has added value, developed supply chains and encouraged innovation in the field. It is important to keep that value within the economy, and through schemes such as Larder Cymru we collaborate with public bodies to ensure that Welsh produce is on school and hospital menus. With the threats of climate change and food security, it is also crucial to be able to adapt.
Leading on Innovation
Technology is transforming our lives and our workplaces, and we ensure that local businesses benefit fully from this change. Through initiatives such as SMART Towns, we foster digital innovation to regenerate high streets, strengthen connectivity, and to give businesses access to data that can help them better understand their customers and make strategic decisions based on data (data-driven decision making).
