Menter Môn has been chosen to represent Wales during this year’s Global Intergenerational Week. This is an international campaign that celebrates the positive connections created between generations around the world.
The week which takes place between 24–30 April 2026, will bring together organisations, communities and individuals to share good practice, learn from each other, and strengthen the next generation of projects to bring generations together. We’re excited today, on the 4th of February, to announce that we’ll be representing Wales.
We will take the lead in coordinating stories, activities and events that draw attention to the excellent work that takes place in communities throughout Wales, to bring different generations together.
Our Ein Hanes Ni project, which translates to “Our History” brings older adults, young people and local communities together to share memories, discover lost histories, and learn from each other in creative and meaningful ways by creating a film, leaflet or song about their area.
Collaborating with partners
We are also eager to collaborate and work with with partners and organisations across Wales who take part in intergenerational activities during the week and from now until then.
Aaron Morris, Project Officer who leads this week and campaign on behalf of Menter Môn, said:
“Being chosen to represent Wales during the week is a huge honour and reflects the strong intergenerational work that is already happening here.
“We are very proud of the impact of the work has had so far. This initiative by Generations Working Together, is a great opportunity to show this to the world. We are eager to work with other organisations as well.”
An invitation

We’d like to invite and call on organisations, schools, community schemes, care homes and more across Wales to get in touch so we can collaborate.
We’d like to hear from any group in Wales who already hold activities that bring different generations together or wish to organise an activity or event as part of Global Intergenerational Week 2026.
We will be sharing more information, resources and inspiring stories in the lead up to the week.
